NALLA’S ARK ECOSYSTEM

Stories from the wild │ Built over time │ Brought alive in story

For more than three decades, the wild has inspired us and kept us looking closer. We tell its stories to pass that sense of wonder on. Following animals through their lives. Returning to the same forests season after season. Filming behaviour as it unfolds. Preserving stories that might otherwise disappear.

What began with wildlife filmmaking has grown into something larger. We built Nalla’s Ark Ecosystem to bring our work, our vision and our passion for storytelling under one roof, and to find new ways for the stories we have gathered over the years to be seen, shared and carried forward.

Documented in the wild │ Preserved with care │ Reimagined through story

GREY FILMS

Stories filmed in the wild.

Grey Films is where the journey began. For decades, our cameras have followed wildlife across India; not simply collecting sightings, but staying with individual animals, families and landscapes long enough for stories to emerge.

The result is a body of natural-history filmmaking created for leading Indian and international broadcasters, alongside independent films built from years of observation in the field.

STOCK FOOTAGE

Decades in the field │ Thousands of memorable moments │ Preserved with care

Over the years, our cameras have recorded rare behaviour, diverse wildlife and changing landscapes; generations growing up, dispersing, returning and disappearing. Much of that material has stayed with us, carefully preserved.

Today, that growing natural-history collection is available for licensing to filmmakers, broadcasters, agencies, researchers, educators and professional users.

STORE

Wear the story │ Carry it forward.

Our products begin with stories we have actually witnessed and filmed — animals, individuals, moments, legacies.

Selected collections connect physical products with the stories behind them, including original footage and digital storytelling. The story matters as much as the product.

STAY (MY DEAR TIGER)

A cosy stay, close to the wild.

A small, intimate stay close to Ranthambhore, with the forested Aravalli hills just outside your window. This is also where filmmaker Subbiah Nallamuthu stays when he is filming in Ranthambhore.

It is simple, personal and close to the forest; a place to slow down, wake up early, step out for safari and return to a space shaped by years of wildlife filmmaking.

NALLA’S ARK FOUNDATION

Preserve stories │ Build skills │ Pass knowledge on

The Foundation works to preserve the natural history of India’s wildlife through long-term documentation, archive preservation and conservation storytelling.

It also supports young people in building practical skills in observation, filming, research and storytelling, so more wildlife stories can be recorded well and carried forward.

ONE ECOSYSTEM

Nalla’s Ark Ecosystem brings together the different ways we work with wildlife under one umbrella. A story may begin in the field, become part of a film, enter the stock footage library, inspire a product, shape a workshop, or continue through the Nalla’s Ark App.

Different stories find their voice in different media, helping us reach more people and create new ways to connect with the wild.

The App takes that a step further by allowing viewers to become part of the journey through their own articles and photographs, with scope to contribute licensable footage in the future.

This ecosystem gives us the freedom to explore, make and create in different ways, while opening up more ways for people to discover, contribute to and carry wildlife stories forward.

NALLA’S ARK APP

We Archive Nature.

Stories, films, field notes, wildlife news and contributions from the growing Nalla’s Ark community, brought together in one place.

Discover the stories we have documented, follow new ones as they unfold, and contribute your own articles and photographs directly into our digital archive.
